Initially opening for service on March 9, 1917, The New York Connecting Railroad's Hell Gate Bridge has now been faithfully serving the Northeast as an important rail-link for over 100 years. Designed by Gustav Lindenthal and built by the American Bridge Company between 1912 and 1916, the important span connected the Pennsylvania Railroad with the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad forming a vital passenger and freight link for the Northeast. The bridge now serves Amtrak, CSX and Providence & Worcester in the same capacities that it served the PRR and NH for a century prior.
Celebrate the 100 year centennial of Astoria's beloved Hell Gate Bridge with this new design featuring a rendering of the bridge itself with both the PRR and NYNH&HRR insignias.
This commemorative design will be printed in brilliant white ink on a black T-shirt. The T-shirt itself is a breathable yet durable 50/50 cotton blend which shrinks minimally with washing. Please choose the proper size and quantities at checkout.
